A Beltane Story

Once upon a time on an early May day two witches set out to perform a Ritual to celebrate Beltane. These were no ordinary witches these were two solitary witches who come together for rituals only. Most of their time is spent in practice on their own. This was a High Holiday when like Samhain where the veil is thin between the two worlds. The witches had plans to do a reenactment of a handfasting ritual between The Goddess and The God.
They chose a dry stream bed deep in a valley of Southern California. This place is an old Native American Grounds with a very long history. They could sense it's power and knew that the ritual performed there would be enhanced by that power if done on the right spot. They chose the stream bed for that reason. Although it was dry and sandy on top way below the surface the water still ran in an underground river common in these parts. They knew that moving water passing through all those minerals and matter underground would generate natural Earth Energy that they could channel. It would also ground them .
I was able to come across them while out hiking. I wasn't privy to the contents of The Ritual but I was able to snap these photos before I left them there peacefully. The magic was so strong I still carry it with me today.
this was their alter
please tell me that is only spilled pomergrante juice
used in the ritual.lol
Make it a Great Day

Pagan Names of the Week

On the Pagan's Journey nothing is more eye opening than when you learn that all the days of the week are named after Pagan Gods. I am very surprised that there wasn't a movement to change the names somewhere in history by Christians. Check out this article.

The Pagan's Journey Cont,,,

      The Pagan's Journey

I always loved Halloween. I looked forward to it with such anticipation. The costumes and the candy might have had something to do with it but somehow that dark night in October held Magic and I could feel it..I had no clue that the Pagan traditions thought  the veil between the worlds was thin during this time and energies passed back and forth. I didn't know the meaning of the word Halloween or even that the word Samhain existed. I was a boy and I do know what I felt. I felt power. I felt a movement in that darkness. I felt alive and filled with a spirit. I ran through the streets of my little town in Maine with passion. My eyes a blaze and my cheeks rosy warmed from my rnning and the cool crisp air. There was magic to be had that night and I didn't want to miss any of it.
It wasn't until later as I went to school and learned about mythology that I was brought the knowledge of what Halloween was all about. Now with the Internet I probably know more than I need but I still can't seem to get enough. Back then I would go to the library and read all they had about it which was not much. That curiosity propelled me into other subjects of interest along Pagan lines. Still I was just a child and I was just reacting to the reality I was feeling. I felt something on Halloween Night that I never felt anywhere else. Even today I await it with much anticipation. Today it holds so much more value to me as I now know it's true history. Thanks for reading .
Blessed Be!

The Pagan's Journey

 A Pagan’s Journey
By Scott Campbell

In the yellow envelope of a 70’s summer day, I awoke. It wasn’t one of those “ I suddenly knew the truth” moments . It was just an awareness that everything I had learned from others up to that point was somehow wrong or they were leaving out a bigger part of the story. My cousin told me Santa Claus wasn’t real. Reality began to unravel as my young mind tried to wrap itself around this horrible revelation that my vile cousin had given me. I cried. That was the beginning of my Pagan Journey . I began to question everything after that and haven’t stopped.

I wasn’t raised in a religious household. When I use the world religious I am referring to the mainstream religions of today. Christianity, Islam and Judaism. I am thankful for that. I was living outside of the brainwashing that was going on inside those buildings in my town. I was able to be outside in the woods, the fields, lakes and rivers where I grew up and I did. I spent all of my free time with Nature. I got to know her very well and she was very very real. I could see and feel her. I could taste her in the fruits and vegetables she produced. I could smell her in the lilacs and other flowers that bloomed there. It was amazing and I loved Nature. When my friends went into religious studies in the afternoon after school. I was left outside, alone and I went to the woods. They were learning from a book and worshiping an invisible sky god. I was living in the god itself being taught directly by the god that is Nature. I didn’t know it at the time but I was being indoctrinated into Paganism but there was no human involvement in that indoctrination. I didn’t even label it a religion. It was just reality.
